As a result of my ongoing Creative Journal Expressive Arts training and re-reading the biography of Dan Eldon - who was an artistic journaler and is a HUGE inspiration - I started creating an altered book, entitled my OPEN BOOK, as a place to give a voice to many of the changes happening in my life. I carry this book with me and decided to share it with anyone who wishes to see it (although the Creative Journal Expressive Arts is a very personal process which is inherently private.) Many people have shown interest in creating an altered book of their own... so I started a club. I kick off each club meeting with a Creative Journal Expressive Arts activity to get our creative juices flowing and provide parameters to set the journaling goals of each session. E-mail me with a comment or query... or if your group or organization would like me to bring this workshop to you.

STUFF PEOPLE SAID:

"It was a different experience. It opened my mind up to using the not-so-dominant part of my body... All in all I will be coming back." - Alyssa C.

"The tools taught in these workshops, for me, seem to act as those bumper cushions in the bowling alley, gently guiding you along so you don’t wind up in the gutter." -Lauren Z.

"Through many tough life experiences I have put up defenses that seem impregnable at times. The journaling technique and non-dominant hand exercises have cut through them like the Sword of Truth." -Andrew W.
